*Baseline Quality Analysis

Before designing a shelf life study we like to ensure our client’s products have been assessed for several quality metrics. This is to identify any shelf life concerns in the formulation or packaging that need to be addressed before finalizing product design.

Our baseline quality analysis assesses:

  • Water activity
  • Brix (sugar content)
  • pH
  • Microbial stability
    • Aerobic plate count
    • Yeast and mold
    • E. coli/coliforms

Completion of a baseline quality analysis is a requirement to conduct shelf life testing at the FIC.
